DR JOHN COPP
Dr Copp is a General Surgeon with a special interest in Bariatric surgery (Weight Loss Surgery). Dr Copp has over 20 years of experience in the field of obesity surgery. He specialises in Gastric Sleeve, Single Anastomosis (Mini) Bypass, Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass, and Revisional Bariatric surgery. He also has an interest in Anti-reflux, Hiatal Hernia, Endoscopies and Gallbladder surgery.
For patients having Bariatric (Weight Loss) surgery, Dr Copp runs a long term follow up program along with other Health Professionals to ensure patients are well supported on their weight loss journey.
Dr Copp completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery, University of Queensland, in 1982, and gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australia, 1991.
Dr Copp is a Board member of ANZMOSS (Australian & New Zealand Metabolic and Obesity Surgical Society)

DR PETER COVERDALE
Dr Coverdale is a General Surgeon with an interest in Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric, and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. Doctor also performs Endoscopies & Hernia repairs. Dr Coverdale performs Bariatric procedures including Sleeve Gastrectomy, Single Anastomosis (Mini) Bypass, and Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass.

DR MAN SHUN WONG
Dr Wong is a General Surgeon with advanced training in Upper Gastrointestinal and Endocrine Surgery. Dr Wong also performs Bariatric surgeries including Gastric Sleeve, Single Anastomosis (Mini) Bypass, Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass. Dr Wong also performs Hernia repairs and specialises in Thyroid surgery.
Dr Wong has an active interest in teaching and holds a position as a Senior CCRISP instructor with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. Dr Wong is also a Serving Member of the Australian Army as a Medical Doctor.
Dr Wong completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery, University of Queensland, in 2007, and gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Australia, 2016.

DR DANIEL SWAN
Dr Swan is a General Surgeon with a special interest in Laparoscopic Surgery, Colo-Rectal Surgery, Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy, Skin Cancer, and Melanoma Surgery. He also performs other general surgical procedures.

DR REUBEN NDEGWA
Dr Ndegwa is a General Surgeon with an interest in Upper Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Surgery, also Advanced Laparoscopy Hernia, Small Bowel & Colon Surgeries. Dr Ndegwa performs minimally invasive Thyroid & Parathyroid Surgery. Dr Ndegwa is also trained to use the Da Vinci Robot for minimally invasive Robotic procedures.
Dr Ndegwa completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery, University of Newcastle in 2009, and gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2020.

Wendy is an experienced Bariatric Nurse Specialist who provides patients with information on the different types of weight loss procedures, medical interventions available, and provides pre & post operative advice necessary for patient success.
SHANDELLE SCHMIDT
Practice Manager
Shandelle has had over 30 years’ experience in the Medical field with Practice Management and Nursing. She supports the Practice Team. Shandelle provides information to patients on Bariatric and other surgical procedures. She is proud of the professionals who uphold founding values of exceptional patient care and support. She loves making a difference in their patients’ surgical journeys and take a proactive and compassionate approach to every aspect of surgical and medical care. Shandelle has experience with accessing patient’s superannuation through our Brokers Supercare to get financial assistance if required.
